It's been our privilege and honor to collaborate with the German Embassy Jakarta for a zero-waste gifting project earlier this year. Using offcuts from our running production, we created Zero Waste Starter Sets and Everyday Pouches which the embassy will use as gifts and relational presents for their partners and distinguished guests.
Choosing products that not only empower local artisans but also live up to high environmental standards was of great importance to the German embassy. They have been a great supporter of our work for over a year now.
Besides this project, the German Embassy Jakarta is one of the key supporters of Rumah SukkhaCitta, particularly in our East Java location – Indonesia's first textile craft school. Inspired by the German dual system of vocational education, Rumah SukkhaCitta will empower the next generation of Indonesian craftswomen to set up and run their own craft businesses and continue their heritage with pride.
